LEAVE FOR EAST. Mrs. J. E Parks leaves tomorrow for Omaha and other eastern cities for an extendod visit. Mr. Parker will accompany her as far as Omaha where they will spend Christmas J with Mr. Park"s parents. Mrs. Parks , will continue her journey to Chicago i arter Christmas and Mr. Parks will I return home. j SENIORS' ANNUAL DANCE. The senior class of the high school gave their annual hop In tho high I school auditorium last evening nt I, which about 250 couples were present. pres-ent. I The affair was one of the most successful suc-cessful over held in the school. De- lightrul refreshments wore served and dancing continued until 1 o'clock this j j morning. 1 1 ENTERTAINS SUNDAY SCHOOL , Mrs. Frank G. Brainerd. assisted by h Mrs. Daisy McGaw. pleasantly entertained enter-tained the young ladles of her Sun-1 Sun-1 day school class of thc First Congre gational church, last evening, at her homo. 234S Monroe avenue. The home was decorated In the Christmas colors. The young people spent thc evening in toasting marsh-mallows, marsh-mallows, popping corn and roasting apples, after which thev sat around the flro and listened to the reading of William Allen White's "The Signs In the Christmas Kire " At a late hour there was a knock nt thc door and a small Santa Claus entered with a bundle of packages on his back. He presented each of the young ladles with a gift. The part; dispersed at a late hour but not before declaring Mrs. Brainerd Brain-erd a charming hostess. SPEND HOLIDAYS IN OGDEN. Robert Boyd, son of R. E. Boyd, will arrive iu Ogden tomorrow from Berkeley. Cal. where he has beon attending at-tending school Ho will be in Ogden only a short time his visit extending until after N'ew Year's day. |
