H Washington Jenkins received a i brief message from Cheyenno today, H notifying him Uiat his son Thomas Hl Jenkins had 'been killed. Later tho i following message, dated Cheyenne, fl vac received by the Standard: i "Tho bodies of Mj and Mrs. Thorn H as Jonklna were found In their bed B today in a claim shack near Red H Bank, AVyo., and either Bulclde or murder Is suspected. There is great H excitement In tho community over the tragedy. Mrs. Jenkins was the iH daughter of ex-Govornor JUohards of Wyoming and was married last June." Thomas Jenkins and Miss Richards were married in (May, and courtship j having begun while Miss Richards H( was visiting hor slater, Mrs. O. W. H McCreery. during Mr. McCreery's Hj pastorate of tho Methodist church in H' Ogden. H The tragedy 1b a groat shock to H relatives and friends of tho Jenkins H and McCreery' families. H Telegraphic advices received by the i Jenkins family in this city toll a "jH story slightly different from the press "jHI report. A message received this "jH morning by Washington Jenkins says K that his son was found dead In bed j by his wife and that tho shock oc- "jB casloned by tho ghastly dlscovorv "jB caucod hor to fall across tho bed un- conscious. So great was the shock that tho wifo did not recover con- H flclousnoss and her death was added to that of Mr. Jenkins, as tho result of heart failure. Tho Jenkins were married in Pueblo Pu-eblo Colo., last May and, according to statements of the family in this city, the young couple lived very happily together. So far as is known hero, there could have ibeen no cause for suicide, Washington Jenkins and daughter left Ogden for Cheyenno this nftcrnoon and thoy probably will bring the remains re-mains to this city for burial. |
