Show PROFESSOR HAS FORGOTTEN FOR-GOTTEN HIS NAME Morris Plains, N. J , Sept. 25 When apparently on the road to recovery of hlB lost memory, Prof. Mark W. Harrington, Har-rington, former head of the weather bureau, and a noted astronomor and college professor, has suffered a relapse re-lapse into his old habit of forgetful-ness forgetful-ness of his own personality. It is announced at the New Jersey inaano hospital here, where he was sent in 1907, that until recently ProL Harrington responded to his " name, but that now he denies that he is Harrington, Har-rington, declaring ho is John Doe, the name that was given him when ho was admitted. The porfessor no longer long-er recognizes his wife and denies that he was evor married. Ho does, however, how-ever, remember his classics and Is a constant reader of Virgil, Cicero and Pliny. Friends and relatives are greatly disappointed at his relapse. Prof Harrington disappeared from his homo in Mt. Vernon, N Y In 1899, and was not located until 1908, after ho had been committed to an asylum. During that time hlB wanderings had taken him to China and back. |
