Whereas in 1905 there wore only 5j cities In tho United States where there was medical -examination of tho school children, this number had increased in-creased in 1011, Mr Hood points ou, to "433 Tho examination of school children's teeth1, (iVdivldual drinking cups and a number of other modern sanitary measures' were unknown six years ago, but In 1911 there were ,-115 ,-115 school doctors, 785 schools with sanitary fountainsT 264 with individual individ-ual drinking cups, 552 cities where vision and hearing tests wero con-c ducted by teachers and 258 where they were conducted by doctors and there were 592 schools where first aid was taught. |
