Show vu MAR AVERTS THEATER PANIC LIVINGSTON7, MonL, Jan 17 When a film caught fire here late tonight to-night in a local theater and" 400 persons per-sons in tho house started in a wild rush for the exlLs, Mrs. E. Powers White, wife of tho owner of the theater, thea-ter, jumped on the stage and loudly began to sing "America," aerting a panic. She cried out that there was no danger and the panic-stricken audience au-dience sat down. The damage will amount to several hundred dollars. E. A. Witherby, the machine operator, was burned about the face'' and hands. |
