Show CONTRIBUTE FOR NATIONAL ANTHEM Chicago, Jul 7. Children of ISO public schools of Chicago have contributed con-tributed $583 to the fund which is to be '.uaecl.-as a prize "for a new national na-tional anthem. Ninety-six schools re--roain yet to be heard from, as the princlpals.of these have not mad-e their reports on the penny collections authorized au-thorized by the board of education. President James B. McFatrlck, of the board, said yesterday that two-thirds two-thirds of the money contributed, had been given by children of foreign parentage. Indicating, he bolieves, that foreigners havo more sympathy for national songs than have Americans. |
