Show JOS. HOWELL BACK FROM CONGRESS I Congressman Joseph Howell stopped stop-ped off in this city for a few hours today, while on his way from his home at Logan to Salt Lake City. The Congressman has been glyen a leave of absence and -will probably remain In Utah for some time, as he has important business to transact. He states that he expects an adjournment ad-journment of congress in a very short time. His secretary, Parley P Jensen, Jen-sen, will leave Washington for his home in Salt Lake City July 15. Thc Congressman-is uncertain as to the business outlook The Democratic threat to give the country free trade on wool, sugar, lead and other articles arti-cles of western production, says Mr! Howell, is retarding business and ere- ating a lack of confidence which Is a serious drawback to a' recovery to the present depression. |
