Willard H Iflamer, a well known and popular kwk young attorney of this city, candidate B on tho Democratic ticket last fall for m county attorney of Salt Lake county, H died suddenly at his home In the mWi Progress apartments shortly after 2 mWft o'clock this morning. Death was due 1 to heart failure. H White it has been Known for some H time that the healtli of Mr. Hamer mm was not the best and that his heart- MM was weak, the news of his sudden mm, death came as a shock to his many mW friends in this city. MM He was a witness to the murder of H Joseph Ax tell by J. J. Morris Tuesday mw Afternoon. When he arrived home he mm told his wife of the shock which the H had received at seeing a map shot H down In cold blood. He was nervous H most of the night, but appeared to he mm in his usual health yesterday morn- H Ing and was at his office most of the mm day. When he went home last night B ie was in apparent good health. About H l o'clock this morning his wife heard heavy breathing and spoke to her husband. hus-band. He made no reply and she hurried hur-ried into the next room for medicines which he had boon using. When she returned he was dead Willard Hamer was born in this citv in 1879 and has lived here all his life. He was admitted to practice several years ago and later became a junior member of the firm of Richards, Richards Rich-ards and Ferry, with whom he was aBROcinted at the time of his death. Mr. Hamer Is survived by a widow and one brother, Daniel Hamer, who Is a court stenogTapher at Pocatello, Ida. and a sister, Mrs. R, A. Moyos, Ogden Daniel Hamer will arrive In this city tonight, when arrangements for the funeral will be made. |
