H Word was received at local police headquarters today that.En- H gineer Rowse and Conductor Middleton of the Overland Jimited H train on the Southern Pacific, which was held up west of Ogden on H the night of January 2, had identified Bryan O'Hara and Victor 1 H Clore, now in jail in Detroit, as the holdups who killed Pullman ' H Porter Davis and robbed the passengers of $1,400 in money and H $1,100 in jewelry. H The robbers came to Ogden from Butte, Montana, and, after the H crime, departed for the north and were trapped in Palms. Michigan. H A reward of $5,500 was offered for the capture of the holdups, H part of which may go to a saloonkeeper in Detroit, Michigan, who I H gave the officers their first clue as to the desperate character of the J B men, H Detroit. A Southern Pacific hold-up near Ogden, Utah, on the night of January 2nd, Is said to be closely connected with the arrest of Victor Clore and Bryan O'Hara of Palms, Michigan, The arrests 'were made by representatives of a private detective agency. Clo was taken to the jail at Mount Clemens and O'Hara wa6 locked up at Sandusky, Mich. Every effort Is to b made to determine deter-mine whether the men know anything about tho holdup, which resulted in the death of a porter nnd the taking of $1,400 cash and $1,600 In jewelry from the passengers. O'Hara Is the son of well-to-do parents par-ents of Palms, and Clore's father is a farmer The two young men are said to have returned Tecontly to Michigan Mich-igan from Salt Lake. Bryan O'Haia. who was arrested yesterday in connection with an Investigation of the Southern Pacific hold-up near Ogden. Og-den. was given a preliminary hearing today. Engineer Rowse of the train that was held up, stated positively that O'Hara was the man who held revolvers revol-vers at his head. Conductor Middle-ton Middle-ton was not so positive. Tho trailing of Clore and O'Hara Is said to have been begun through a detective's chance meeting with them on a western train. They are said to have told the officer that they were headed for Detroit to go into the saloon sa-loon business. To the detective's suggestion sug-gestion that It would take considerable consider-able monev to travel to Detroit and have enough left to buy a saloon, the men are said to have replied: "Leave that to us, we're the kids that get the money." It seoms certain that the train robbers rob-bers who held up tho Southern Pacific Pa-cific train at Reese have been captured. cap-tured. Requisition papers havo been drawn by County Attorney Jensen and Sheriff Harrison will leave for Detroit De-troit this afternoon to got the mon. Sheriff Sharp of Salt Lake county will follow Sheriff Harrison and aid in bringing the suspects back to Ogden Og-den for trial. It is said that requisition requisi-tion will be bitterly opposed by the prisoners, as they are well known In Michigan and havo many relatles and friends. The men are being held In separate jails In Michigan, hence the necessity for the two sheriffs going go-ing after them Sheriff Harrison will go immediately immediate-ly to Lansing, the state capital, with the requisition papers to secure the consent of the governor lor the extraditing extra-diting of the suspects. It left here in charge of Conductor Middleton and Engineer Rowse about 10.30.
