Show Lions Eat and Roar at Wednesday Meet Notwithstanding the fact that a, number of Lions, including Chairman Chair-man Jefferson and Song Leader Par-rish, Par-rish, were out of town Wednesday, the Lions semi-monthly luncheon was well attended and those present enjoyed a bounteous repast and a pleasant social hour. Lion Murdoik presided at the meeting, and Lions Miller and Carlton contested for the honors of song leader. A new membership committee, consisting of Lions Johnson, Hilli-ary, Hilli-ary, Al Cllne and Murdock was appointed. ap-pointed. The report of the finances of the club disclosed the fact that the treasury was almost depleted and it was suggested that an effort be made to secure some new members. The matter of a band for Milford came up for discussion, and Lions Howell, Johnson and Miller were named a committee to confer with the U. P. employes interested in the movement, and . the school authorities, authori-ties, and assure them that the club would lend whatever support it could in the matter. Visitors at the meeting were Ross Palmer of Gnpnison, Attorney John. U. Schiess and Gordon Thornburg. |
