Show A SPORTSMAN'S PARADISE Beaver County is also noted for its fine hunting. Deer by-hundreds by-hundreds inhabit the beautiful sylvan valleys, wooded copse and aspen thickets of this wonderful won-derful range. Motorists frequently fre-quently see herds of deer staring star-ing at them from a distance, or racing down the grade ahead of them. The season for deer is open from October 15th to 25th, and the limit is one buck with homs, and seldom, indeed, does a hunter return without the limit. There are also a few antelope an-telope remaining, upon which, however, the season is closed for a time. Native pheasants, Mongolian pheasants, sage hens, blue and ruffled grouse, quail, doves, ducks and other game birds, rabbits, etc., are also here in abundance and afford great sport for local, as well as outside out-side sportsmen. Panther, bear, wildcat, cougar, cou-gar, coyote, and other wild animals ani-mals add a touch of spice for the more venturesome hunter who has a desire to match wit and gun against predatory animals- There is no closed season sea-son on these and the hunter may therefor, hunt them at will. n |
