Show 10,000 MEN AND BOYS TO ROAM HILLS IN M. I. A. EXCURSION More than 10,000 men and boys will break away from the routine duties of life and spend a few days in the great open spaces of the west as a result of the Fathers and Sons movement move-ment of the Y. M. M. I. A. this summer. It is estimated by Oscar A. Kirkham executive director. Outings arranged by stakes and wards to foster companionship between be-tween fathers and sons 'will take hundreds of groups to some of the choice spots of Utah and Idaho. Hundreds of fathers have already taken their sons on these annual outings out-ings and many more such outings are planned for the remaining week in July and throughout August and September according to returns sent to the M. I. A. office. Every such outing includes the thrill of a trip to the mountains, the invigorating experience of sleeping in the open and of eating wholesome food cooked over the camp fire, of hiking to some high peak or ridge where the lure of the great out-of-doors grips you and the wonders of nature are fully apparent, the intimate inti-mate association of fathers and sons which promotes mental understanding the charm of the camp fre under clear skies with the added lure of song and stories.
