Show uonsIlubeats at atkin cafe Jo Murdock, chief lion, presided over an enthusiastic bunch of Hons at the Atkin Cafe where they roared and growled, chewed chicken bones and cussed the auto with defective lights. The south Milford farmer sent a communication asking the cooperation coopera-tion of the cub in putting over a community exhibit to be held in the community house, about August 30. The president appointed a committee com-mittee composed of Parrish, Peterson Peter-son and Kirk to make arrangements with power to act. Carlton stated that a committee composed of Mc-Garry, Mc-Garry, Kirk and himself, had made an investigation of conditions at the Beaver River bridge, south of town and found that it was only 15 feet 5 inches wide and therefore a menace men-ace to auto travel. More accidents had occured there than at any other point in Beaver county. The secretary secre-tary was instructed to write the state road commission calling attention to the dangerous condition there and asking if some remedy could not be given. This discussion brought on a bitter arrainment of the auto driver who drives at night with de-' de-' fective auto lights and it was agreed that defective lights were a .menace to all users of the highways and all officers should enforce the laws in that regard. The question of Express delivery was brought up by Outzen and a committee was appointed to see if the American Express company could not be induced to put on a delivery de-livery truck here. They then adjourned until Aug. . 10th at the U. P. dining room. o |
