Show Sportsnen 'Almost' Clip Penney's Penney's still ride the lead-' lead-' ing horse in the Milford Softball loop, but their victory string was snapped when they met the Railroaders Rail-roaders last Friday, and on Tuesday Tues-day the Sportsmen matched them (Box Scores on Page Five) in a game of 7.ig-zag for six innings, in-nings, then went down before the leaders, 12-11. Whitbecks remain undefeated in the ladies' division, adding two wins during the past week. On Friday they downed the Why-Not girls, 13-9, and whitewashed Sam's Appliance on Tuesday, 18-0. Other scores: Telluride 12, Stewart-Dunn .9 Why-Not 11, Telluride 20. Tonight Sam's Appliance meets Telluride in the Opener, at 7:30, and the Railroaders meet the News at 8:45. |
