JfjrV Items of interest taken from the l -vlGl FiU'S f M'lr0rd NeWB f I ' "iLil Fifteen years ago this week 4 From Issues of June 23-30, 1920 The following had returned from a very enjoyable Scout trip to Bryce and Zion canyons: Sergeant Mayo, Scoutmaster; Frank Farmer, Far-mer, assistant Scoutmater; Eb Tanner, Rulon Bird, Lon Melntire, Bert Blanpied, Charles McCulley, Howard Blanpied, Owen Stoker, Jack Bardsley, Leonard Muir, Dan ' Coleman, Angus McLeod, Harold j Carlson, Clifton Sherwood, Warren j Fernley, Thorald White, Charles Glenn, Lewis Davis, Clark Lee, James Hedges and Jack Hillary-Mr. Hillary-Mr. and Mrs. Abe Murdock and Mr. and Mrs. James Lang of Beaver Bea-ver had spent a few days with Mrs. George Fernley. Tho Beaver Woolen mills and Beaver Flour mills had been de- stroyed by fire. The loss had totaled about $150,000 and no insurance-Mrs. Gertrude Ferguson and children of Minersville. had been visiting Mrs- Dan .Ferguson. George Jefferson had left for an extended trip through the east, having been joined by Mrs. Jefferson, Jeffer-son, who had been visiting in Colorado. Colo-rado. Van Hickman of Milford and Miss Ethel Ash worth of Beaver had been married June 17- Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Cottrell had returned from a visit in California. Mr. and Mrs. L. A. Wynaught and daughter Alice had left for Salt Lake and from there were to take an automobile trip to Bangor, Maine. Roy White had purchased the Steve Fotheringham home with furniture. It was said to be one of the best homes in Milford. Tho Milford Lodge No. 42, I. O. O. F. had held a big two days celebration in the form of a jubilee jubi-lee in honor of paying off the mortgage on its building- Despite the storm and rain a wonderful timo was enjoyed. A motor party, consisting of the C A. Arrington, E. B. Jorgensen and E. H. Bird families, had returned re-turned from a trip to Bryces canyon can-yon and other points of interest in southern Utah. ! In a popular baby contest given I at the Victory theatre for the I benefit of a public play ground, j Audrey Raines, three-year old daughter of Mrs. Raines, won I without a close second. The final result for the popu-1 popu-1 lar girl contest had been Louise Poulton, (winner) 7295; Barbara Fotheringham, 3802 and Alta Edwards, Ed-wards, 1022. All money taken in for votes had been turned over to ; the plavground funds. I j Mrs. I. Cline and daughter of I Salt Lake had been visiting Mr. ! and Mrs. William Cline, while on I their way to Los Angeles. - |
