Show CCC Camp Well On Bench Finished Ordered to stop drilling at a depth of 315 feet, but with excellent excel-lent water encountered and rising to within 75 feet of the surface, the well being driven on the west bench for aise of the new CCC camp to be located at that site is ready for installation of a pump and the establishment of the camp. The well was driven by H. L. Hall of Long Beach,, who has had the contract for several government govern-ment wells in this vicinity. He reports having encountered water gravel stratas all the way from 80 feet clown but, with the well all cased off except for the lower 30 feet, assurance is given of a plentiful supply of water of the same excellent quality supplied from the municipal wells. As to quantity, Mr. Hall reports having baled water from the hole at a rate of 20 gallons a minute with a draw-down of only 55 feet. From here Mr. Hall leaves this week-end for the Ferguson desert, northeast of Garrison, where he has another contract for a department depart-ment of grazing well. |
