Show Extra Cash Prizes and the j Closing of Large Vote Period j Spur Candidates To Work A Monday night, July S, will see the close of the second period and a material decrease in the voting potential of all subscriptions in The Milford News Scholarship campaign. It is hardly necessary to warn all candidates that they should turn in every possible subscrip-i subscrip-i tion, new or renewal, before 9 o'clock Monday night, for this hour marks the close of the second sec-ond period, and with its end comes j a decided decrease in the vote schedule. Wise candidates will ! bend every effort to see that all promised subscriptions are made j good and reach the campaign de-j de-j partment by 9 o'clock Monday night. j So close is the race at this time I that naming the final winners would be pure conjecture. The big j winner is going to be the candi-I candi-I date with the WILL TO WIN and i the determination to out-speed all competitors these last final days. There is one thing that today's vote score clearly reveals, and that is the indisputable fact that at this stage of the campaign it truly is "anybody's race" and that the work done these final days will "tell the tale." All the competitors in the race are in commanding positions but some "dark horse" may succeed in leading the entire en-tire field at the end of the race. ) With the added incentive of $10 to be distributed at the close of i the second period as extra cash prizes, all wise candidates are; working at top speed. They are going after those added prizes in dead earnest and at the same time will pile up a big vote total which; will help immensely toward the winning of the capital prizes at' the end of the campaign. LET'S-GO! LET'S-GO! IT WON'T BE VERY i LONG NOW! j |
