Show CIRCULATION GROWS AT LIBRARY IN 1939 An increase of 709 volume circulation circula-tion for the year 1930 is reported of the Milford Library by Mrs. Freda Outzen, librarian, in her library statement state-ment for the past year. Total circulation of books for the year was 11, 493 against a circulation of 10, 786 for 1929, according to Mrs. Outzen. In addition to an increase of circulation, there is an increase in the number of books housed in the library stacks as 180 new books have been added to the collection while only 45 ' books have been lost or withdrawn during the past year, leaving a collec- tion of 2860 volumes available at the local library. Other interesting figures in Mrs. Outzen's report include the number of newspapers and periodicals that come to the library. These show that there are 24 periodicals and 4 newspapers. There are 1030 active cards in force up to date and 58 of these are in the possession of iounty borrowers. The report not only shows that there are many readers in Milford and the vicinity but that the library at their disposal is well stocked with I books and well managed by the libra-I libra-I rian. |
