Show LOCAL HOLD UP MEN GET JAIL SENTENCE Judge LeRoy Cox held a special session of District Court in Beaver Tuesday afternoon for the purpose of passing sentence on the parties held in the county jail who recently recent-ly plead guilty to perpetrating s. hold-up at the Milford Garage on December 14. The men, Edward Tomer and Harold Guymon, who plead guilty at their preliminary hearing to the charge of robbery at the point of a gun, had been held in the county coun-ty jail awaiting sentence when court convened on February 16. However, to curtail expense to the county, the judge held the special session, giving giv-ing the two men an indetermined sentence of from five years to life in the state penitentiary. Sheriff Neils Jensen left with his prisoners Wednesday morning for Salt Lake City to place them in the state penal institution. Tomer and Guymon held up William Wil-liam Williams about seven o'clock on the night of December 14, at the Milford Garage and secured about $30.00. They were later apprehended apprehend-ed near Thermo and the money recovered. |
