BEAVER JOINS IN LOCAL CHAUTAUQUA Beaver is to participate this year in the Southern Utah Community Chautauqua to be held early in October. Oct-ober. Last year the cities of Saint George, Parowan, and Cedar City inaugurated in-augurated this entertainment plan, which went over big. An invitation was extended to Beaver to join the trio this season, making a four evening's entertainment for each I city. The Chautauqua will be sponsored by the local Lions club. Each of the four towns will prepare an evening's circuit. Local talent will be used ex-, ex-, clusively by each city, and there will j be a variety of entertainment, in-j in-j eluding drama, musical and other fea- tures. j The local number will be in charge : of a committee composed of J. Frank ' Smith, John C. Carlisle and W. A. Firmage, and the dates of the entertainments enter-tainments will be October 10, 11, 12 ! and 13th. Beaver Press. I
