Show EXHIBITS OF ALL SORTS OF PRODUCE TO FEATURE FAIR BEST SAMPLES OF VALLEY'S WEALTH BE DISPLAYED Arrangements for the South Milford Community Fair on August 29, are rapidly nearing completion and all committees report their exhibits shaping shap-ing up nicely. The exhibits will include in-clude the following: Baked goods, canned fruits and vegetables, dressed poultry and dairy products; needle and art work of all kinds; childrens' hand work, consisting of a bungalow apron for the girls and any useful article for the boys; fresh vegetables of all kinds and varieties; poultry, including chickens, geese, ducks, rabbits, rab-bits, etc; field products such as potatoes, pota-toes, alfalfa seed, corn on the stalk and grains of all kids; a livestock exhibit consisting of draft and saddle stock, beef and dairy cattle, sheep and hogs. The number of things to be exhibited exhibit-ed by each person is unlimited, but to make the judging easier and more just in the awarding of the ribbons, some of the exhibits will be grouped, group-ed, with two or more articles to each group. Besides the exhibits other items of interest to the public will be a bazaar booth at which can be purchased vegetables vege-tables fresh from the gardens, dress ed poultry, eggs, butter, art goods, etc. Ice cream, candy and lemonade will be available to all at a small charge and a delicious luncheon will be served at noon at a nominal cost. To add to the interest and enjoyment enjoy-ment of the day a fine musical program pro-gram has been arranged to entertain the luncheon guests and several speakers of note will give short talks on topics of general interest to the community at large. During the afternoon there will be ;ome interesting foot-races for ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, young men and old. Excitement should wax high during the horse races which will include ponies, saddle horses, ('raft horses and thoroughbreds, to say lothing of the pulling contest for draft stock. |
