Show BEAVER BOYS I IN CAR UPSET Four lads ranging in age from ten to twelve years old, had a narrow escape Monday when a car they were driving turned over on the road this side of the old academy. Roland, son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Ray-mond Hodges, had taken the Chevrolet Chevro-let coupe belonging to his grandfather, grandfath-er, Harry Hodges, and with three companions, Vernon Black, Fay Mathews, Ma-thews, and another lad were out for a drive. Roland had driven the car many times when accompanied by his grandfather, but this was the first time out alone. They were traveling trav-eling about twenty-five miles an hour, the boys claim, when they struck a rut and the steering wheel was jerked jerk-ed out of Roland's hands. The car swerved into the ditch and turned over. While the car was badly dama'ged, all the occupants escaped with minor scratches and bruises. Press, Beaver. |
