Show Society Picnc at Rock Corral Rock Corral was the scene of a very enjoyable outing Sunday evening, when the following young people motored there for a picnic: Mr. and Mrs. Dan Coleman, Dorothy Murdock, Vie Smith, Phyllis Levi, Myrtle Osborne, Os-borne, Chas. Glenn, Warren Fernley, Harold Dewey and Roy Mills. Old Friends Club The "Old Friends club et with Mrs. Antone Johnson Wednesday, August 1st. The club prize was won by Mrs. B. E. Hutchins and the guest prize by Mrs. W. O. Carlson. Club members present were . Mes-dames Mes-dames Scott Tanner, Fred Levi, Harve Hedges, B. E. Hutchins, M. H. Pool. Guests were Mesdames W. O. Carl- J son, T. W. Campbell, and Miss Vie Smith of Beaver. j Miss Richards Hostess I Miss Mary Richards entertained ; the Stitchlitic club and guests at the home of Mrs. Bert Tait, Wednesday afternoon. The guests were Mrs. Chas. Husbands, Mrs. W. G. White, Mrs Wm. Miller, and Mrs. Frank Farmer. The afternoon was spnet in sewing, literature and music. A dainty lunch was served. Mrs. Tait Entertains Mrs. Bert Tait entertained the O. t D. O. club and guests at her home. The afternoon was spent in sewing and dainty refreshments were served j to the fourteen club members and j Mrs. Singleton, guest. Compliment Mrs. Walker J The L. D. S. Primary entertained ! Monday evening in honor of Mrs. ' C. D. Walker, who is leaving Milford. 1 The evening was spent in games and , a delicious luncheon was served. At the close of the evening Mrs. Walker ( was presented with a luncheon set. j Is Hostess at Deligtful Party l"' j One of the prettiest parties of the week was a moonlight bridge given by Mrs. V. C. Johnson Wednesday evening. I The smooth green lawn at the rear of her home was lighted with lamps, hollyhocks and golden-glow forming a background ;for the tables. Luncheon was served in dainty yellow yel-low baskets in picnic style, clever favors being provided for each guest. Those who enpoyed the evening were Mrs. Walter James, Miss Helen James, Mrs. Merrill Miller, Mrs. J. R. Murdock, Mrs. C. R. Parrish, Mrs. C. C. Sloan, Mrs. George Fernley, Mrs. J. M. Kinney, Mrs. Charles Miller, Mrs. C. D. Baxter, Mrs. Al Cline, Mrs. Floyd Kohler, Mrs. C. E. Moore, Mrs. W. C. Cates and Mrs. W. H. Hindrickson. Prize for points was won by Mrs. Charles Miller and prize for honors by Miss Cates. Consolation Consola-tion prize was won by Mrs. J. M. Kinney. Slumber Party J Mts. T. W. Campbell entertained j Wednesday evening with a Michigan -and Slumber party, also a delicious waffle breakfast. Those present were Bessie Killam, Vie Smith, Dorothy Murdock and Phyllis Levi. Entertain at Hanging Rock The Jolly Stitchers, club was en- j tertained at Hanging Rock Friday by-Mrs. by-Mrs. Scott Tanner. Club members present were Medsames W. E. Fernley; Fern-ley; Antone Johnson, Fred Levi, A. j C. Nebeker, James Lang, W. E. Mil-, ler, Eb Tanner, Dave Tanner, Steve Stoker and Karl Levi. Guests were Mi s. Harve Hedges and Mrs. Jack Weston. A delicious luncheon was served. Surprise Party y- Mrs. W. A. Miller was pleasantly surprised when a group of her friends arrived to spend the afternoon, Tuesday, Tues-day, July 31. Refreshments were served ser-ved to Mrs. Bert Tait, Mrs. Si Jones, Mrs. Richard Jones, Mrs. Dave Reese, Mrs. Henry Bowman, Mrs. Ronald Banks, Mrs. Gene Pitchforth, and Mrs. Frank Farmer. Bridge Club at Rocky Ford Friday last, Mrs. F. B. Robinson at Rocky Ford, entertained her bridge club, together with a few other guests. The rooms looked cool with large vases of sweet clover, alfalfa blossoms and white .sage. The rural idea was carried out with a picnic lunch served at small tables. Covers were laid for the following: Mrs. F. Gospill, Mrs. C. C. Sloan, Mrs. J. M. Williams, Mrs. Erma Gillies, Mrs. V. A. Boucher, Mrs. Harold Hendrick-son, Hendrick-son, Miss Gladys Gospill, Mrs. Walter Weber, Mrs. Warren Neilson and Mrs. E. A. Petty of Beaver. The hostess was assisted during the afternoon by her daughters, Miss Lucile Franke and Miss Kendall Franke. |
