Show TOWERS OF AERIAL STATIONGOING UP Work began this week on the erection erec-tion of the two 150-foot steel towers at the government broadcasting station sta-tion north of Milford. This work was let by contract and is to be completed com-pleted within fifteen days. The building is practically completed com-pleted with the exception of the heating plant and equipment. J. R. Brand secured a contract for drilling a well at the station and has began work. Notwithstanding the severe cold weather, William Martin completed the concrete work for the building and base for these towers on scheduled sched-uled time, which was quite a feat considering that the temperature was zero and below during most of the time the work was underway. The Telluride Power company has built a line to the station and run a temporary system of wires which is serving until the broadcatsing equipment equip-ment is put in, when a perment electrical elec-trical connection will be made. From all indications the entire station will be finished and ready for operation by March first. o |
