Show MINERSVILLE Mrs. Hattie Myers left Sunday for California to attend the funeral of her sister, Mrs. Smith. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Baker came home from' Salt Lake City Saturday where Mr. Baker has been ' receiving medical aid. . Mr. and Mrs. Ivan McKnight of South Milford were in town Sunday. Mr. and TVlrs. Emil Nowers and children of Beaver spent Sunday here. Mrs. W. A. Zabriskie has as her guest her granddaughter, Miss La Priele Champion of Long Beach, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Bohn and family fam-ily of Modena spent the week-end here as guests at the Sarah Bohn home. Frank Craw of Pioche, Nev. has been here with relatives and friends. Mrs. M. E. Blackburn who has spent several months at California returned home Thursday. George H. Eyre spent Sunday at Parowan with his daughter, Mrs. Evan Rollins,- it being her birthday anniversary. Dr. Warren Shepherd of Sa't Lake and Mr. Conroy of Delta held a dairy meeting here Sunday. The Behelia Bee-Hive girls entertained enter-tained at a Valentine party Thursday evening at the home of their leader Pauline Mathews. Progressive games were played after which refreshments were served to the following guests: Gertrude Carter, Elma Thompson,. Grace Joseph, Ida Richards, . LaPrele Baker, Norma Osborne, Thelma Stoddard, Stod-dard, Clark Dotson, Harold Dalton, Clarence Rollins, Edwin Eyre, Dill Hollingshead and Harold Jameson. - Brothers J. F. Tolton and Elmer White of Beaver were the speaker-; at sacrament meeting Sunday evening. The boy scouts of the Minersville ward will give the program at sacrament sacra-ment meeting Sunday evening February Febru-ary 22. Mrs. Carl Rohn of South Milford held a meeting here Thursday with the members of the ladies farm bureau. bur-eau. Miss Effie Wood assisted by Vir-gene Vir-gene Jameson entertained the Ma-kan-wee girls and their partners witli a valentine party Wednesday evening. The guests came in misfit costumes and after an evening of games and merry-making delicious refreshments were served to thirty-one. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Worthen entertained enter-tained at a "Bunco" party Saturday evening. High score prize was awarded to Mr. Vider Myers and consolation con-solation prize was awarded to Mrs. Hester Rollins. Miss Prescinda Mathews entertained entertain-ed six couples at her home Saturday evening. The: time was spent in playing play-ing "500." |
