Show LARGE SHIPMENT OF FINE CATTLE MADE FROM HERE TUESDAY Three hundred-forty head of cattle were shipped out of Milford to California Cali-fornia Tuesday according to R. S. Fienkelstein, the buyer who is putting them out on grass to be fattened for the market. Three hundred of the bunch were sold by the Levi Brothers and the remainder re-mainder came from the Smithson estate. es-tate. Durhams and Herdefords, they are some of the finest cattle in Utah, according to Mr. Fienkelstein. This is the biggest shipment so far this year, though a shipment of 304 head was made in the early part of January. These were cattle from Minersville bought from Jim Dutson, Elmer and Golden Marshall, Herbert Eyre and the Roberts Estate to be finished in the feed lots in California. As contracts for both shipments were made in November before the drop in prices, an excellent price was gotten by the local growers, the Milford Mil-ford shipment, was purchased for $14,-000 $14,-000 and the Minersville for $18,200. |
