Show MILFORD FIVE BEAT BEAVER 24-33 FRIDAY Milford basketball team beat the Beaver five in a 24 to 33 game last Friday evening on the Beaver floor. Beaver staged a brave comeback in the second half but was Unable to overcome a lead of 10 to 24 established establish-ed by the local boys. Andrews appeared with the lineup for Milford and as long as he was allowed al-lowed to remain in the game played first class basketball and seemed to be none the worse for the injury sustained sustain-ed several weeks ago. However, later in the game, Coach Mel Heslington substituted Griffith and allowed Andrews to rest. Horton, Easton, Hickman, and Killam were the rest of the regular string that saw service with Horton taking scoring honors. Baldwin, Anderson, Barton, Murdock Mur-dock and Lindsay made up the Beaver line. Next Friday Milford plays at Fillmore. Fill-more. o |
