Show BEAVER James Powell and family left Tuesday in their car for Weisef , Idaho, Ida-ho, where they expect to make their home. Taylor Farnsworth of this city has received word of the release of his brother. Reed Farnsworth of the Beaver First ward, who has served an L. D. S. mission in Holland. After Af-ter a short tour in Europe he will sail for America on August 28. Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Larsen arrived last week from Bingham, to visit Sheriff and Mrs. Neils Jensen. They will make their home in Beaver as Mrs. Larsen will teach in our schools. Mr. Larsen, who was badly injured in a mine accident several months ago, is improving, but still uses crutches to get around. Sheriff Jensen nabbed a party from Las Vegas, Nev., last week in the act of peddling some of Las Vegas' Veg-as' best home-made illicit product to the citizens of Beaver. The gent gave his name as Ted Garland, and the judge assessed a fine of sixty dollars as an occupation tax, which was promptly paid. The two new fish ponds, 8x30 feet, at the local hatchery were completed complet-ed last week. These ponds, with the three already built, makes the Beaver Beav-er hatchery one of the best in the state. A letter received from J. Arthur Mecham advises the Beaver County Fish and Game club that there would be no open season on Sage chickens this season, but that during September certain counties would be permitted to declare an open season on pheasants. It is considered that probably another year, it may be possible to declare a short open season sea-son on these birds in Beaver county, but at the present it would be premature. pre-mature. The County Clerk issued marriage license on the 23rd to Clarence Rollins, Rol-lins, of Greenville, and Miss Beryl Pace, of Delta. o |
