Show o Turkey Industry Outlook Bright A very optimistic outlook for a good year in Utah for the commercial commer-cial turkey industry was reported by Albertus Willardson assistant general gener-al manager of the Utah Poultry Producers Pro-ducers Cooperation association, following fol-lowing a two-week inspection of a representative of the Beehive state flocks. Utah should produce about as many turkeys this year as last, while the nation's output and particularly partic-ularly that of the heavy producing southern states is much smaller. The total "gobbler" production of the mountain states themselves, will not be as large as it was a year ago. With a substantial estimated decrease de-crease in the country's "holiday bird" flocks a certainty, Utah, with a good average yield of excellent fowls, should reap material benefit Though grain is much cheaper, there are indications that turkey meat will be priced higher or at least on a par. with that of last season, sea-son, giving the turkey producers a probable doubfe advantage. n |
