: CHANGES IN CHURCH EFFECTED AT STAKE CONFERENCE SUNDAY At the L. D. S. church conference, meeting in quarterly session at Beav-j Beav-j er last Sunday, Bishop E. II. Bird was I released from the duties of bishop of j the Milford Ward Bishopric anil Wil-! Wil-! Ham A. Miller was named as the local bishop. The choice was confirmed con-firmed by ordination services held Sunday at the Milford L. D. S. church. Counselors were named as follows: First Counselor, Raymond Taylor; Second Counselor, William Graff. The.-e two, with Bishop Miller will comprise the new bishopric. Mr. Bird was released after about eight years service to the church in that capacity and with him goes the love and respect of all the word. A new superintendent of the Sunday school will be named soon to succeed Mr. Oniff. who formerly filled that position. posi-tion. Other changes made at the Stake Conference were t!ie release of Bishop Eyre of Minersville and the ordination ordina-tion of Geo. Marshall, Jr., at the new bishop.
