Show i COMMUNITY FAIR i; OFFERS FULL DAY i OF ENTERTAINMENT I! EXTENSIVE PROGRAM WILL ; OFFER SOMETHING TO j EVERYBODY BEGINS AT 10 The various committees for the fair have been hard at work on their special lines and each announces that everything is in readiness for the big day, next Wednesday. Household Arts Prize ribbons will be given for the following: cakes, pies, bread, the best dozen eggs, the best pound of buter, oressea poultry and tor the best group of canned goods, consisting of one quart of fruit, one glass of jelly, one glass jam. The hand work will consist of the following classes: pillow cases, embroidery, em-broidery, tatting, crocheting, fabric painting and Duco work. Seed and Grain In the field products, awards will be made for the best bunch of alfalfa seed, a small bunch of various grains on the stalk, a quart of each of the threshed grains, ten pounds of potatoes pota-toes and five stalks of corn. Vegetables Vegeta-bles will be given due prominence with fitting rewards. Live Stock The live stock exhibit will be of beef and dairy cattle; saddle and draft horses; hogs and sheep. A new line of dairy equipment is being received by the Parrish Creamery which Dr. Parrish is anxious to show to fair visitors. Booths In addition to the fair proper, there will be booths for selling of produce and many prize winners will be sold to the highest bidder. The ice cream and candy booth will be open all xlay with hot dogs as an added attraction. Plate luncheon will be served during the noon period. Noted Speakers An excellent program of music will be given and also the following speakers, all experts in their line, will give addresses and demonstrations: demonstra-tions: A. J. Morris, of the B. A. C, Livestock; J. C. Hogenson, Seed and Potatoes; J. E. Blazzard, Noxious weeds. Dance To top tho day off, there will he a big dance in the evening, with music mu-sic furnished by Milford's new orchestra, or-chestra, the Milford Melody Men. Miss Margret Cates has been the chairman in charge of all the different I departmental work in arranging the program of the day and in securing committee workers. The Fair starts, a sfar as the judging of entries is as far as the judging of entries is ing at ten in the morning; from then on, events will follow in rapid succession suc-cession until tlin tia nf .i late at night. |
