Show ALFALFA NIPPED BUT STAND NOT HURT The sudden drop in temperature over the week-end nipped the alfalfa with frost in this community. However, How-ever, the freeze was so slight, that with slowly moderating weather fol-'owing, fol-'owing, the alfalfa came back up in ?ood shape. However, over the state, and especially espec-ially in the valleys between here and Salt Lake, farmers were not so fortunate. for-tunate. From the appearance of the fields, there were places that looked as though the hay wa3 not going to straighten up, the frost having evidently evi-dently been more severe. Alfalfa in the Milford valley looks good. Max Tautman, who has just come from San Bernardino to spend the summer months looking after his acreage south of town, has a stand of good looking alfalfa that is a foot high. |
