Show FARM COMMUNITY MARKS ANNIVERSARY SOCIAL HOUR CLUB OBSERVES BIRTHDAY One of the most largely attended affairs ever given in the South Mil-ford Mil-ford club house was the party which marked the sixth anniversary of the Social Hour club. The party was given last Wednesday night, A delgihtful program was given of music and readings. Vocal solos were rendered by Mrs. Myron Han-chett Han-chett and the Misses Retta Murdock and Margaret Cates. Readings were given by Parley Fisher and Dr. Addison Ad-dison Bybee, which added much to the pleasure of the guests assembled. Mrs. J. G. Weber gave a resume of events in the history of the six years following the organization of the aix years following the organization of the club. Mrs. Parley Fisher, at the piano, accompanied by her son on the clarinet, clari-net, played splendid music for the dancing which was indulged in until a late hour. A huge, tiered fruit cake, baked and decorated by four of the dub members, bore its six lighted cand les, and when placed upon the table, was the center of a circle march by all present. The cake and other delicate deli-cate viands furnished delicious refreshments. re-freshments. Much of the success of the brilliant bril-liant function was due to the well-executed well-executed plans of the president, Mrs. Kent Smith. n |
