Show EXPECTS TO OPEN VICTORY THEATRE MIDDLE OF JUNE NEW SHOWHOUSE TO HAVE CAPACITY OF 325 SEATS With the last steps in the interior decorating of the new theatre now underway, Clark Kesler, who is building build-ing the new showheuse, announces that the theatre, to be known as the Victory,' will be opened the middle of June with a seating capacity of 325. Plaster of wood fibre, with great acoutic properties, is now being placed over the walls und ceiling. This plaster is of different colors, giving the interior a beautiful ap- carance. Curved corners are also expected to add to the sound retain- ng properties of the building. The .heatre has a large entrance, and a commodious foyer. It is equipped .vith the latent improved ventilating outfit. The manager's office is up-itairs, up-itairs, to the south of the operating -oom, with the music room directly ipposite. The operator's room is also equip-ed equip-ed with acoustic plaster, which will sbsorb the sound of the machine. Heavy carpets, underlaid with three-quarter three-quarter inch padding, will serve 'to prevent disturbing noises. The lights on the sides and at the stage are to be enclosed in plaster Paris shades, painted in bronze. The seats are all to be provided with air cushions, with the exception of a few far in front. The heating system is a standard one in compliance with state safety regulations. Theatre Flanked by Businesses Just south of the new theatre, and occuping a part of the building, will be the barber shop of Amil Kelsey. North, is a room to be leased to D. E. Kirk, as a real estate office. Both of these rooms are new, just built as part of the theatre building, and are being plastered and painted. |
