Show LOCAL I HAPPENINGS p n Mrs. Marion Morgan left Tuesday to join her husband at Brown, Nev. F. W. Galnouer left Monday for Caliente, Nev., to work on that board. P. E. Dart, of the Safeway Stores, spent the week-end in Spanish Fork. L. E. Chilton was down from Salt Lake City on Monday looking after business interests. Blix Jorgenson, Marion Jorgenson, Odean and Sol Johnson, sheepmen, left" Tuesday for their home at Salina. Mrs. Chas. Clements and daughter, Miss Verda, motored to the Ryan ranch at Burbank Tuesday morning. Donald and Michel DeChane are visiting for a few days with Mr. and Mrs. Brig Carter. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Martin and son Robeift imotored to Beaver Sunday and were dinner guests at the Jack Ferguson home. Miss Betty Joice Broyles left last Wednesday via auto with her aunt to visit her grandparents at Long Beach, Calif. Oscar Larsen, of Salt Lake City, was down a few days on business in connection with the Hal Oil Co. Mr. and Mrs. M. H. Pool made a business trip to Fillmore Saturday afternoon. Mrs. H. V. Carlson leturned the j latter part of the week from a i month's visit in San Bernardino and other California points. Mrs. G. H. Halverson and little daughter went to Salt Lake City Saturday Sat-urday for a few days' visit with relatives re-latives and friends. Mrs. Cora Carlton, wife of Karl S. Carlton, former publisher of The News, has been seriously ill for several sev-eral days, but is improving. Claudia Trenholm returned Monday from Los Angeles, Calif., where she has spent the past seven months. Mrs. Loten Kesler, accompanied by her two daughters and son Loren, left Friday for Alhambra, Calif., where they expect to spend several months. Le R. Fillmore, of South , Milford, accompanied them. I H. M. Rich, connected with the Western Loan Co., of Salt Lake City, spent a few days here on business, leaving Wednesday for Caliente, Nevada. 1 Mr. and Mrs. Dern Osborne and Mr. and Mrs. Alton Smith drove over to Beaver last Thursday evening to attend a birthday dinner given in honor of Mrs. John Grimshaw. Mrs. Jos. R. Murdcck returned Tuesday from San Francisco where she had attended the marriage of her daughter Dorothy to Samuel Dunk-ley, Dunk-ley, of that city.- Mrs. Dern Osborne and Mrs. Alton Smith left Sunday for San Bernardino, Bernar-dino, Calif., where they were called by the death of their little cousin, Margaret Neeley, 7-year-old daughter daugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Neeley, former residents of Milford. They accompanied other relatives of the Neeley family from Beaver, including includ-ing Mr. and Mrs. Earl Gi-imshaw, Mr. and Mrs. John Grimshaw, Mrs. Carl Grimshaw, Mrs. Carl Dean, Muriel Grimshaw. The funeral services for the child was held in San Bernardino Tuesday afternoon. The party is expected ex-pected to return the latter part of the week. |
