Show MILFORD WILL TURN TOWN OVER TO THE 49'ERS TOMORROW Annual American Legion Frolic Expected 10 Draw Large Crowd The Annual Forty-niners' celebration celebra-tion will open in Milford tomorrow. This event is known over the south-em south-em part of the state as one of the biggest and liveliest events of its kind staged any place, and the members mem-bers of the local American Legion post are going to see that this year's celebration will be no exception to the rule. Indications are that there will be a large visiting delegation from adjoining adjoin-ing towns and everyone is looking forward to a good time. In addition to the bronco busting and horse racing in the afternoon, there will also be a baseball game between be-tween the Milford and Minersville teams. Minersville has played several sever-al games this season romping it over Beaver last Sunday. However, the Milford boys, while this is their first game this season, are going to give the visitors some stiff competition. In the evening, two dances will be run: One in the Arion Hall for modern mod-ern dances, wthile a second orchestra will furnish music for old-time dances danc-es in the gambling hall across the street. There will be only one charge for both dances ,and everyone may enjoy either or both. Of course there will be the usual games popular in the gold rush days and other attractions. |
