Miss LaRue Beaumont of Beaver is here with her sister, Mrs. James Davis. Sunday evening a musical program was given by the Relief Society, it being National Music Week. Beulah Eyre is visiting in northern north-ern Utah with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. D. H. Rollins are receiving re-ceiving congratulations on the arrival arriv-al of a son born May 1. Mrs. Horace Carter spent a few days last week at Parowan with friends. Mr. and Mrs. -Niles Binns of American Fork were guests of Pauline Paul-ine Mathews Thursday night. I GREENVILLE Mr. and Mrs. Ed Lewis and daughter daugh-ter Betty Gene of Ruth, Nevada are visiting at the home of Mrs. Lewis's parents, Mr. and Mrs. David Atkin and family for a few days. Arthur Blackner, Perce Williams, Ira Walker, Frank Morris, Bill Blackett, Ormand Morris, Howard Walbeck, Wm. Calvert, George Barton Bar-ton went to Milf ord Wednesday for j grain. The school gave a program here Wednesday night. Three plays were given the titles were, "Box and Fox," : "The Silent Protector," and "Advertising "Adver-tising for a Husband," a poem was . given by Eva Murdock, and a song by King Morris. The school also , gave a spring festival Thursday af- ! ternoon. A progTam was given. Some of the students braided the May pole and Editha Williams acted as May Queen. Superintendent Wittwer of Beaver and daughter Bonny attended the program given by the school Wednesday. Wed-nesday. A quilting party was held at the home of Mrs. Dan K. Barton Saturday. Satur-day. Fillmore all of Milford called on friends and relatives Friday night on their way to California where the are going to spend a month or so with friends and relatives. Mary Brown is spending a week or two with her - grandfather, Robert Brown. BEAVER Mr. and Mrs. Harland K. Goodwin are rejoicing over the arrival of a 10 pound boy, which' was born on April 28 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Goodwin. Baby and mother are getting along fine. Mr. and Mrs. Scott Tattersall of Cedar City attended the graduation exercises Friday evening in Beaver. Mrs. Bell Reese and Mary Tatter- I sail spent Friday at the home of Mrs. :J. T. Tanner. Mr. and Mrs. Royal Kimball who j have been living in the Murray Bohn apartment for the past few months, have moved in Mrs. Mollie Farrer apartment. "' Mr. and Mrs. Harry Russell, of Salt Lake, spent Friday and Saturday visiting with their daughter, Miss Edna Russell. Mr. and Mrs. Jess Baker, of Minersville, Min-ersville, moved their household goods to Beaver Monday and will make this their future home. Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Baker, Mrs. LeRoy Goodwin and Dick Goodwin were in town on business Tuesday. Mrs. Lamar Anderson of Park City arrived Saturday for a two weeks visit with her parents, -Mr. and Mrs. : George Low. Rube Baldwin, Jr., met with a painful pain-ful accident Friday while helping to build a fence. The saw slipped and cut a two inch gash in his thumb, requiring re-quiring three stitches. Rube Baldwin is home from Pioche, Nev., for a two weeks visit with his family. Mr. and Mrs. Lyman Speakman of McGill, Nev., spent Friday and Saturday Sat-urday at the home of their aunt, Mrs. Bell Reese. Mrs. Rube Baldwin received word from her daughter Marie at McGill, Nev., that she was leaving for Bould- City where she had received employment. em-ployment. Mr. and Mrs. R. O. Jehu returned to their home Saturday after a week in Los Angeles, California on business. busi-ness. Delmar Parkinson, who met with an accident two weeks ago while hauling hay, is much improved, and able to walk with crutches. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Brown of Fillmore Fill-more spent Sunday afternoon in Beaver. Mr. and Mrs. Vaness Bakes and two small sons returned home from Magna Monday. The smelter where Mr. Bakes has been employed for some time has closed down. Mrs. Dick Goodwin and little daughter LaRae is visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Goodwin for a few days. Wm. Grimshaw of Enoch and Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Grimshaw of Cedar City spent Sunday visiting with their mother, 'Mrs. iMary Grimshaw and Jane Grimshaw. Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Stapley and children have gone to Salt Lake City for a visit with Mrs. Stapley's mother. moth-er. Mrs. Hazel Bradshaw of Minersville Miners-ville spent Monday with her sister, Mrs. Harland Goodwin at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. A.. Goodwin. Ralph Williams who is attending school at Provo spent the week-end here visiting with his wife and little son and his mother, Mrs. Dorothy Williams. He left early Monday for school. Leo Nelsen of Salt Lake City spent a few days visiting with his uncle Roy Wheeler. ' Mrs. Jane Grimshaw, one of Beavers Beav-ers early pioneers met with a very painful accident last Wednesday when she slipped and fell striking her head on a rock, cutting a large gash over one eye which required several stitches. She is under the care of Dr. McQuarrie and is doing nicely. Mrs. A. M. Fotheringham of Mil-ford Mil-ford spent Sunday afternoon with her sister, Mrs. E. C. Barton. Jim McSorley, Mrs. Eva Evans, Mrs. L. A. Fotheringham and Mrs. A. M. Fotheringham of Milford spent Sunday afternoon visiting with friends and attending conference.
