Show B. P. 0. E. STRAYS If strays from the herd of the Best People On Earth can give such a dandy party, what oan the real bunch be like? Meaning to say that "The Stray Elks" gave such a dance at Lynndyl that all of Delta was there in a bunch, and shown the best time of their lives. Lynndyl certainly diet Itself proud The hall was strewn with narrow crepe paper in purple and white, with graceful hanging effect from the center line of the hall and down the sides; the doorkeeper was in purple and white cap; two large signs read "B. P. O. E." with the clock at eleven (it was five minutes past when we got our drink). And at the head of the hall the Payson orchestra sat behind an immense pair of real elk horns, backed up by Old Glory in the background. The crowd certainly had a good time. Hyrum Smith, in behalf of Lynndyl and Leamington, gave a speech of welcome to the Deltaltes and invited them to come oftener. We wish to voice Delta's thanks to Lynndyl people for such a hospitable time. |
