Show VOTE DRAINAGE There is one thing that we absolutely abso-lutely must do, and that is, finish up our drainage. We mu:t vote the issue. is-sue. We must see it through. Wo form a district, embracing certain cer-tain territory; we then find, in a bad market with everything high, that when all Is finished but 10,000 acres, wo are out of money. Now it is absolutely ab-solutely a matter of honor with the whole district that all vote for the flninsh of the Job, and not leave out that 10,000 parcel. We break faith with part f our people if we fail. The Hinckley District had to vote additional money; the Oasis District likewise. And to finish ours, we must also vote more bonds. Support the issue, and vote for it. The supervisors inform this office that not one single foot of open ditch in District "A" nor one tile has been accepted; we mention this to offset an argument from that district that the work should be stopped and the issue killed. Don't kill the country by aiming at a local issue; to kill the bonding now would ruin our prospects pros-pects for years. If any ditch or tile line needs to be put into working order, or-der, why, put it so; do the little needful need-ful repairs, BUT DON'T BREAK FAITH. DON'T KILL THE WHOLE SYSTEM. Drainage is the most vital Issue before us now. To fall down in it spells ruin to every farm not drained, and means years of retardation to every other farm. Vote for the greatest great-est good for the whole country which means, finish drainage. |
