Show HOLDING COW'S TAIL STILL Device Shown In Illustration Used for Several Yesrs and Found of Great Convenience. Here Is a simple, but most convenient conven-ient and effective method of fastening fasten-ing a cow's tall while milking. Tbe Illustrations practically explain themselves, them-selves, writes K. W. Urowue of Hills-boro Hills-boro County, N. H., In the Farmer and Home. A bent wire hook la made and to this Is attached loop, b. Hehlnd each troublesome cow la fastened from above a piece of twine having a fair-sized loop at Its lower end. These should not bang lower l Tail Fastensr. than alx feet from the barn floor To make the fastening, wind the end of loop twice sround the tail and draw tbe hook through It. then ratch tbe book Into one of tbe loops hanging from above. If the twine used Is reasonably rea-sonably coarse the operation of making mak-ing or undoing the fastening ran be accomplished almost Instantly. I have made use of this device for several sev-eral years, and have found It a great convenience. |
