Show DESERET IRRIGATION CO. A special meeting of the Deseret Irrigation Compauy was held at Oasis Oa-sis last Saturday to revise Its articles of Incorporation and receive the an iiual report. The amendments as given In the Chronicle were adopted without change. The report of Mr. Cropper, who has charge of the flouring flour-ing mill showed a profit of about $!.-000 $!.-000 the past season. The report of the treasurer showed that about $!'.-WO $!'.-WO bad been expended on the Sevier bridge dam, as the company's proportion pro-portion of the expenses. The Sovier Land & Water Company paid 40 per cent of the expensea, the Deseret Company 26 per cent, the Melville Company 16 per cent and the Delta Co, IS per cent. The large projior-tlon projior-tlon paid by the Sevier Co. la because I'. is to have one half of the water obtained ob-tained by the 20 foot raise. The Des eret Company has rosde arrangements to raise $75.0(0 for the further es pense of raising and strengthening the dam. A large portion of this will have to be paid for lands up the river that will be overflown by the raise. The excellent financial condition of the Iteseret Company Is shown by the fact that It will be able to raise that amount on notes at 6 per pnt ,fa the privilege of repaying at any time. |
