Show MAKING 0NSWAY H LIFE Every Man Is the Architect of His Own ' Success, However He May Be Assisted. ' How many of us pass our time in waiting for life to give us something Instead of trying to find it for ourselves our-selves ! We even go so far as to think that life owes us always more than we receive, that we fulfill our mission on earth by simply living a harmless existence, ex-istence, and that fame and fortune should be ours by right. It is for this latter reason that we so often resent I the good fortune of others and allow ourselves to believe that we have been discriminated against by Providence. We do not seem to realize that It is-well is-well worth our while to do something-more something-more than wait for what may or may not come to pass, that we are the-architects the-architects In large measure of our own success and that we must make the best of what is before us in order to learn the rights to fulfill the desires of our hearts. If we make but little headway we are quick with our excuses ex-cuses and are always ready to place the blame upon others who can in nd' way be held responsible. If, on the other hand, we do succeed, It seems-qulte seems-qulte natural to talre the credit ourselves our-selves whether we deserve it or not. The chances are, however, that if we-amount we-amount to very much in this world the-credit the-credit belongs to us more than to anyone any-one else, even though we do receive assistance as-sistance at times from those who take an interest in us. The point of the matter Is that we must fortify ourselves our-selves to meet conditions as they come and to do our best to shape them Into-happiness Into-happiness and prosperity for ourselves. |
