Show Oak City Offerings Mrs. Thomas B. Talbot and Mrs. Arthur Talbot made a trip to Hinckley last Week. Walter Carlson has gone to Leamington to work. Mrs. Ed Anderson and her daughter, Golda, of Hinckley, were here visiting friends and relatives last week. The Lynndyl Dramatic Club was here the night of the 13th and presented the play "A White Lie." Every one present in-joyed in-joyed themselves. George Carling has returned home from Leamington where he has been working for some time. The Williams & Evan's Threshing Thresh-ing machine has returned to Leamington after a busy time in Oak City. Some of our farmers are getting get-ting some alfalfa seed this year, which will help our place. The Y. L. M. I. A. gave a big time last Tuesday which was in-joyed in-joyed by many, and we wish to congratulate the girls on their play which they presented. Mr. Lewis of Delta, was seen here the past week. Some attraction at-traction he has here calls him often. The district school has started and the teachers are Mr. Higgins Hig-gins from Provo, Mr. Anderson from Fillmore, Miss Smith from Springville and Miss Nielson from here. We have a good lineup line-up of teachers this year and we hope that they will have best of luck with their work. The Carling family have moved in from their farm. Mr. Ezra Lyman and mother were here last week visiting with relatives and friends. Many of our young people have gone to Hinckley to attend the M. A. Leo Carlson has returned home from Delta to start school. A welcome dance was given Elder Charlie Roper last Friday evening. Everyone present had a pleasant time. |
