Bob Whicker Captures A Thief? Bob Whicker thought he heard a sneak thief enter his cellar the other night and promptly took action by shutting the door and securely fastening it; then he went in haste to notify the City Marshal that he had a thief barricaded, bar-ricaded, then these two gentlemen gentle-men provided themselves with the hardware that kills and after unfastening the door of the cellar, cel-lar, most boldly demanded the intruder, in-truder, the thief or maurauder to come henceforth into the mighty arms of the law, peaceably! peace-ably! Out came a big black canine, to Bob's embarassment, and then his gun failed to explode ex-plode when he pulled the trigger. City Marshal Clawson showed no signs of fright but the dog is running at large according to the latest advices.
