Show THE HINCKLEY HAPPENINGS Jewel Moodv is transacting business in East Millard, this week. Miss Edwards of Meadow, is the guest of Mrs. Miles Greener, for this week. Fred Wilkins. left Wednesday, for Antelope, where he intends remaining for two weeks. Meryle Robison is again at the home "of her father, after an absence of six months spent in Salt Lake City. George Webb and family are in Salt'Lake. where they intend spending a few weeks, combining business and pleasure. Bushnell Bros, of Meadow, are in town buying cattle. They are paying average prices and are successful in buying quite a number. Richard Bammes, wife and children are back to Hinckley again, after an absence of six weeks in the northern part of the state. Mr. and Mrs. Nephi Stewart are entertaining as their guest this week, Miss Sigrid Pearson of Salt Lake City, who is Mrs. Stewart's sister. A fair sized audience enjoyed the play presented by the Delta Dramatic Company last Friday night. The play was well played and was highly entertaining. The many friends of Afton Greener will be pleased to hear that he has recovered from his recent operation for appendicitis and is again able to be at home. John Matson of Fillmore, is located at Hinckley for a few weeks, while here he will do the photography work for the Millard Mil-lard Academy Year Book. There will be a Parent's and Teacher's meeting held in the District School Assembly Hall, Thursday, Feb. 4th at 7:30. All those interested are requested to be presents Last Saturday an interesting game of basket ball was played between the eighth grade teams of Oak City and Hinckley. It was lively throughout and the home team was victorious by a large margin. Another social event of interest inter-est was the birthday party given at the home of Milton Moody, Monday evening, in honor of the birthdays of Mrs. Moody and Mrs. Brook. A tasty supper was served and plates laid for the following: L. A. Stevens, W. F. Pratt, R. E. Robinson, Jed Cox, John Brook, Milton Moody and their wives. A very pleasant social affair was the surprise party given in honor of Dean F. Peterson, re-tireing re-tireing president of the M. I, A, by the present officers of the association. as-sociation. Nearly all of those invited assembled at the home of D. M. Cox and from there went in a body to the home of Mr. Peterson. The evening was pleasantly spent in games and program numbers. Cake and punch were served. |
