Melville returned Sunday Sun-day from a two weeks stay at Sait Lake City, feeling much relieved re-lieved from his attack of the rheumatics. Dr. and Mrs. C. A. Broaddus of Hinckley, were the pleased and welcomed guests of Rev. and Mrs. C. H. Hamilton at dinner, Tuesday evening. Mr. and Mrs. 'j. H. Hall entertained enter-tained Mr. and Mrs. Chas. A. McClain and Mr. and Mrs. A. M. McPherson at a sumptuous dinner din-ner last Sunday evening. Mr. and Mrs. J. O. Wilkins, daughter, Miss Amy. and Mrs. Mae Busen'oark were visitors to Hinckley, Saturday, calling upon friends and doing some shopping. shop-ping. George W. Webster of Murray, was ' here for several days the past week, attending to some personal affairs and greeting his maiiy friends and former neighbors. neigh-bors. R. J. Law returned Saturday from Salt Lake, where he had been fur several days visiting the wholesale houses and purchasing pur-chasing new spring good for his customers. . Jas. Overson, a good and substantial sub-stantial resident of Leamington, passed through here one day the past week for the Deseret mill, where he would get a load of flour for Leamington people. The 0:,o Club mt with Mrs. Harry Aller, Monday evening. The evening was pleasantly spent in sewing, reading and social conversation, after which a very dainty luncheon was served. Mother Goose was picking her flock again Monday, two and a half to three inches of the white Hakes having fell, to the gratification gratifi-cation of the farmers who have fall grain and the population of the valley in general. D. M. Perty, an experienced cafe man of Bingham has arrived here and taken charge of the Hall Cafe, changing the name of this popular place to the Hub Cafe. Mrs. J. H. Hall will take the management of the new hotel at Lucerne. Ellis Jacob, who has suffered so long and severely with an attack at-tack of appendicitis, was taken to a Salt Lake hospital Sunday, where he will undergo an operation, opera-tion, vith the hopes of being restored re-stored to permanent health. His mother accompanied him up there to see that he received the proper prop-er care and nursing. John Beekstrand of Meadow, has been here the past week closing up his affairs as ex-manager ox the C. W. & M. Co. Mr. Beckstrand feels at home when in Delta, having numerous friends here that are always glad to see him and extend the hand of goodfellowship. Dr. G. W. Richards, Delta's resident dentist, informs the Chronicle man that he is doing a larger volume of business than he had expected to be favored with when locating. We have heard a number of his patients remark th it he was a careful, efficient dentist and deserved the undivided support cf tue vicinity.
