Show have a team to be proud of. After the game and supper was over, a big dance came off. Music Mus-ic was furnished by the ,Oak City Band. All had a good time, and we invite Leamington to come again. Leo Carlson, meet with an accident last week at Delta, where he was working for Willis Wil-lis J. Lyman, being kicked by a horse just under the knee. He was taken to Hinckley and Dr. Broaddus dressed the wound. Mrs. Mary Lyman accompanied him to his home in Oak City. The second swarm of Bee-Hive girls, had a party at the Home of Miss Vera Lovell last Thursday. Thurs-day. We can guess they must have had a good time. Bert Ottley of , -Sutherland, spent a few days visiting in Oak City last week. . Mr. Eldon Anderson, just returned re-turned from Beaver where he spent a few day with Miss Alice Dean, of that place. The Oak . City Stiffs, played the Scouts a game of Base Ball Friday for a dance, the Stiffs being victorious. On the ninth inning, they stood 6 to 6 and had to play the tenth in which the Scouts were shut out and the Stiffs scored 1 point. Another Anoth-er game will be played before long for a dance and supper. W.. I. - Alldrege, and ; family, who have been up on their homestead home-stead at the mouth of the canyon, can-yon, have moved down town for the winter, Saturday night a dance was enjoyed by the Scouts and Bee-Hive Bee-Hive girls. A number of our farmers are making preparations to plant their fall grain now while there is moisture in the ground. Oak City Offerings Threshing has commenced here. One machine is busy here in town and the other one pulled out to Fool-creek to thresh there. The big rain storm Thursday nif.ht was not welcome as it did not help threshing any. Leamington came over last Wednesday and played Base Ball with Oak City. The Leamington Leaming-ton team had the game if they had kept their courage up, but on the last two innings Oak City made a run on them and took the game, the score being 14 to 15. Leamington boys played a good game and if they will practice prac-tice up a little more they will |
