Phone your news Tuesday to Tannetta Sorenson A crowd of young people met at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Porter and surprised their niece and nephew Earlene and Scot Hansen, Han-sen, on Friday, evening. On Sunday Sun-day their father, Waldo Hansen of Spring City came for Scot and Earlene, who had spent the winter at the Porter home. Miss Ruth Jackson is visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Max Johnson. Mrs. Peter Jensen left Tuesday for her home in Mt. Pleasant after spending six weeks here visiting at the home of her son Chas. M. Jensen. Kimball Johanson of Salt Lake City is visiting his children for a few days. Mrs. Bert Johnson entertained at a surprise party in honor of her daughter Delia's birthday on Tuesday, Tues-day, evening at her home. , Miss Eee and Lea Roberts are visiting here at the home of their brother Brose Roberts. Friday evening Orvin and Shiiv ley Barney entertained at their home in honor of J. C. Henderson of Payson, who will go in service soon. The evening was spent in playing rook, after which lunch was served. Orvin Barney won the high score and Floyd Hoilingshead won consolation. There were 22 guests present. Orvin Barney, who has attended the BYU the past winter spent the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Pat Barney. Accompaying him as guests were J. S. Henderson Hender-son of Payson and Mr. Rust from the BYU. Orvin and Roland Robins, Rob-ins, who has also attended the B YU this winter, came to attend the commencement exercises of the Delta High School. OASIS . . . Mrs. Wash Rouridy came home Sunday from visiting relatives in California. Mrs. Clinton Memmott and children chil-dren and Mr. and Mrs. William H. Bishop and son from Salt Lake City spent Memorial Day with Mr. and Mrs. William Bishop of Delta. Mrs. Annie Rutherford from Salt Lake City is a visitor at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Peterson. She came down for Memorial Day. Miss Laura Hansen returned to her home in Salt Lake City after having attended the Hinckley High School this past winter. Mrs. Nora Caproni and daughter are visiting at the homes of Mr. and Mrs. Enoch Gillen and Mr. and Mrs. J. Val Styler. Mr. and Mrs. David E. Nichols made a trip to Springville to bring back Mr. Nichol's mother. tomy. ' Mrs. Mable Chaffin attended graduation exercises in Ogden last Thursday evening at the 22nd Ward where her son, Sam, received his diploma. Sam came down with his mother for a few days stay here this week. |
