Show WILL L. HOYT SEEKS RE-ELECTION 1 AS JUDGE FOR 5th DIST. Judge Will I.. Hoyt of the Fifth j Judicial District litis week filed his ( petition with the Secretary of State to have his name placed upon up-on the prijnaiy election ballot as a candidate for the Democratic nom- ! ination for District Judge of the Fifth District, to succeed himself. The Fifth District embraces the counties of Juab, Millard, Beaver. Iron and Washington. Judge Hoyt has occupied the bench in that district dis-trict since January, 1937. He resides re-sides at Nephi, in Juab county, where he engaged in the general practice of law for a number ol years prior to being elected to the District Bench. He is married, his wife being the former Miss Vivian Petersen. They have five children. He has served his county as county clerk, county attorney, and member of the State Legislature. He was a member of the code committee which completed complet-ed the 1933 revision of the state statutes and has served as chairman chair-man of the state board of bar examiners ex-aminers and as president of the District Judges Association of Utah. He received his legal schooling at the University of Utah and began be-gan the practice of law at Nephi in 1922. He served as a member of the United States army during the first World War and is at the present pres-ent time stake president of the Juab Stake of the L D S church, having been appointed to that position posi-tion in 1941. |
