Tiie following guests enjoyed enjoy-ed a very delicious luncheon: Neva Harvey. Nafiine Sheriff, Billie Huntsman. Hetty Nielson, Lottie Gronning, Rosalie Banks and Max-iae Max-iae Coleman. Mrs. Eleanor Nieison entertained at iter home. Twenty-four guests were present to honor Mrs. Beatrice Bea-trice Gunn. Rook was played and enjoyed by all. Mrs. C. E. Freer won high score and Mis. Gunn the low. A dainty and delicious luncheon lunch-eon was served. Mrs. Gunn was presented with a beautiful pair of pillow cases and each one wished her success and happiness in her new home. Mrs. Gunn has been an outstanding neighbor and citizen, aways willing to help others. We all regret to lose them. Site was also first counselor in the Relief Society. Miss Carmen Nielson, who has just graduated as a nurse from the LDS Hospital, came home to attend at-tend the graduation exercises at Delta, for her brother, Dean, who will soon join the armed forces. Mrs. A. T. Miller and small son, Freddie, of Milford, have arrived to stay with her mother, Mrs. Alma Al-ma Banks. Mrs. Ruth Abeglen has returned to her home in Salt Lake City after aft-er having visited with her family, fam-ily, Mrs. and Mrs. Alma Banks. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Talbot and daughters, Nina and Laura, were Ogden visitors Saturday and returned re-turned Sunday. Mrs. Urn Coleman and daughter, Eldonna, were Salt Lake visitors this week. Mr. and Mrs. Kert Roper spent a few days in Salt Lake City this week. Mrs. Geneva Johnson, of Los Angeles, An-geles, is visiting at the home of Mrs. Effie Allen for a few days, and will then go to Oak City to visit relatives. Mrs. Bill Kenrose, daughter, Bet-tey, Bet-tey, and sons Bob, Kent and Larry of Milford are visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Benson. Mrs. Sara Ann Wiley, who has been liviing with her son, Roe, has come home to spend a few days visiting with her family. Mr. and Mrs. Loren Wiley, of Murray, have arrived to visit relatives rel-atives in Lynndyl and Leamington. Mr. and Mrs. Seth Hepworth, son Arlow and daughter, Mahala, spent Memorial Day in Fillmore. Miss Mery Johnson, who has been teaching school in Lynndyl, has returned to her home in Fillmore. Fill-more. We all regret that she will not teach next year as she is one of the best teachers we have had. Mr. Sherman Cooper spent a few days visiting his daughter, Zola, in Salt Lake Cit. The Primary closed Wedensday with a parly for the children and many awards were given for the best attendance and behavior. After Aft-er an interesting program a wein-ie wein-ie roast was enjoyed. Jay Simpson, Harold Ivy, and Bobby Ivy won a Scout book for good behavior, also al-so the entire guide class and the Larks. For best attendance during the year the Bluebirds and the Guides were made awards. Verla Ivy, Mignon Sheriff, Harold Ivy and Joan Angel were each giver either show tickets or War Stamps Mr. and Mrs. Charley Smith wem to Beaver to visit with their parents par-ents before Charley leaves for the Navy. Mrs. Alma Banks and daughter Gladys, went to Salt Lake City tc visit her daughter, Mrs. Ruth Abeglen. Ab-eglen. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Wilkie, theii daughter, Renee, and son Ladd, ol Provo, visited with Mr. and Mrs Martin Sheriff. They spent a few hours visiting in Nephi with relatives rela-tives while on the way. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Hayes anc family went to Lehi to visit wit! relatives over Memorial Day. Mrs. Jerome Ivy and Harold wenl to Kanosh for Memorial Day Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Talbot al-son al-son went to Kanosh on Memoria Day. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Bruninf are returning to their former hom in Nebraska. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Nielson spent Sunday visiting in Payson wit! relatives. The Gunn family left Thursdaj morning for Los Angeles to make their home. Mrs. Burton Ivy and son, Carl have gone to visit her husband who is serving in the Army. Mr. and Mrs. Chester Bower! have as their guest, Mr. and Mrs Ross Elder and son, Duane, fron Tooele. Miss Bi Hie Hunstman was verj pleasantly surprised on Saturdaj night when her father and mothei arrived to see her. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Clark and children chil-dren spent Tuesday in Oasis decorating dec-orating graves. Marie James accompanied ac-companied them. ; Mrs. Frances Fernlcy of Caliente came to visit her family aftei spending a few days in Salt Lake City visiting at the home of Mr and Mrs. Urn Sterling. Mr. and Mrs. Don James entertained enter-tained at their home Saturday evening. eve-ning. Barney Luke has recovered fron his illness and has returned to hii work in the roundhouse. Mr. James Smith spent the week end in Salt Lake City visiting hi! family. |
